The folks over at Westfield Montgomery in Bethesda, MD invited me to check out their Back to School shopping event earlier this week, and I was completely blown away! This was my very first visit the Westfield Montgomery shopping center and it certainly won’t be my last. They’re hosting the Best of B2S shopping event until August 17th and it’s also tax-free week in Maryland, so now is the perfect time to stock up on back to school essentials!
When I arrived to the mall, I immediately headed to the “Unlock the Fun” station. At this station, you can text MONTGOMERY to a special number, and then Westfield will text you back with a unique locker combination. If the combination you receive opens the locker, you can win fabulous prizes from Michael Kors, Madewell, Chick-Fil-A, Bose, Children’s Place, Tasty Image, Burton and many more retailers!
They also featured stunning chalk art from the leading public artist and originator of 3D street painting, Michael Kirby. His work has been featured on Good Morning America, the Smithsonian Institute, Carnival Cruise Ships and more! If you want to meet this talented artist yourself, he will be at Westfield Montgomery this Saturday, August 17th from 11:00am-4:00pm.
There were stylists that pulled together ensembles from various retailers across the mall and created beautiful outfit combinations that were featured all throughout the shopping center. One of my favorite displays was the ones from Forever 21! I'm loving the grunge trend for the fall.
I had a blast shopping at Westfield Montgomery because it featured some of my favorite retailers, including Madewell, J.Crew, Zara, Free People, Urban Outfitters and Nordstrom. I was particularly impressed with Nordstrom’s extensive shoe section. One of my favorite shoe brands is DV by Dolce Vita. I have a few pairs of their shoes and the quality is great, the price is right, and the styles are head-turning. I picked up a pair of red loafers for myself!
I spotted Emma who was carefully crafting the perfect back to school wardrobe at Nordstrom. How fun are these printed sneakers?
Another store I had a great time shopping at was Madewell. If you’ve read my blog in the past, you are well aware that I’m a Madewell fanatic. Westfield Montgomery is home to one of only three Madewell locations in the DC metro area! I had a fabulous stylist who created these luxe yet laid-back ensembles for me.
I tried on their new Skinny Skinny jeans and fell in love. This jean has the perfect mid-rise to keep you covered, they’re super comfortable and fit like a glove. I will be back to buy more pairs in different washes! If you buy a pair of jeans at Madewell, you’ll receive a 20% off coupon for a blowout at Drybar. If you visit Drybar, you’ll receive a coupon for $25 off a purchase of $75+ at Madewell! If you don’t end up purchasing jeans at Madewell, you can still show your college or teacher ID to receive 15% off your purchase.
Make sure to check out your local Westfield and join in on the B2S fun! I hope you have as much fun as I did at Westfield Montgomery. Also, make sure to enter to win a $1000 back-to-school shopping spree at Westfield here!
